    Join your industry colleagues at the South West Briefing to hear from both government and industry on the current planning and infrastructure challenges and opportunities facing South West Sydney. We will welcome Chris Gould, Executive and General Manager Business Development from Sydney Water who will discuss the plan for delivering water and wastewater infrastructure in the South West, and Sydney Water’s role as the water management authority in the Aerotropolis working to provide the Blue Green Grid. Following Chris Gould’s presentation, he will join a panel with Stephanie Barker, Chief City Planner from Western Parkland City Authority and Warwick Dowler, Development Director for Ed Square from Frasers Property Australia. The panel will discuss the Western Parkland City Blueprint and Road Map, how Sydney Water is delivering infrastructure to support jobs and homes, and how Edmondson Park is emerging as a model town centre with good access to transport, education, and open space.

    Join us for the first South West Luncheon of 2021 to discuss the planning assessment and approval challenges facing South Western Sydney. Marcus Ray, Group Deputy Secretary Planning and Assessment from the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment will provide an update on recent improvements to the planning assessment and approval system that aim to support economic development and provide the community with housing and the key infrastructure needed for people to live in South West Sydney. Following Marcus’ presentation, he will join a panel discussion with Jim Baldwin, Director City Development from Campbelltown City Council and Paul Hourigan, Chief Operating Officer from BHL Group to discuss broader planning and development issues and how everyone will contribute to ensure South West Sydney continues to emerge as a key growth area in Greater Sydney.
