Financial Feasibility Stage 2: Applied Course

The Financial Feasibility Stage 2: Applied course is run as a practical workshop. The course will take attendees through the practical application of financial feasibility to a selected site using the ARGUS EstateMaster software. Attendees will receive instruction from three experts as to how the information needed for a feasibility study can be derived. Attendees will source and input information into the ARGUS EstateMaster software on dwelling sizes, sales rates and construction costs. This course is suitable for those with intermediate industry experience, with technical backgrounds who have some familiarity with the ARGUS EstateMaster software, or who have completed Financial Feasibility Stage 1: An Overview.

Run as a practical workshop, the stage 1 course provides attendees with a basic understanding of how to conduct a financial feasibility study. Attendees will be taken through the theory of discounted cash flow and terms used including IRR, PV and NPV. Hunter Luncheon | The Hunter Regional Plan Review

The Hunter Regional Plan will undergo its 5-year review this year, and the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment is now beginning that process. With unprecedented recent land sales and constraints on existing zoned land, the Hunter’s housing supply pipeline is more uncertain. How will DPIE address this big question in planning for the Hunter’s future? We will hear from Monica Gibson, Executive Director Regions, DPIE, who will outline the Regional Plan review process, what is being considered and how industry will inform this critical work. Mark Kelly, General Manager, ADW Johnson, will then present an update of the UDIA NSW Hunter Region Building Blocks report detailing the challenges to our land supply. Following these presentations Professor Roberta Ryan from University of Newcastle will join the panel for a discussion on the Hunter’s land supply and the significance of the Regional Plan becoming a statutory document.
