    Join us for this special Signature Series episode where we put a spotlight on Australia’s fledgling Build-to-Rent (BtR) sector. The event features former UDIA National President Michael Corcoran, Solido Capital who will focus on navigating BtR financing hurdles, as well and Justine Roberts, Kingston Developments who will provide insights into the role/s that BtR could play in the Australian housing market drawing from deep experience in delivering BtR projects in the US. This event will also include the launch of the long-awaited BtR Financial Feasibility research report produced by the UDIA NSW 2018 Roy Sheargold Scholarship holder, Tony Amidharmo, Aqualand.

We will also hear Tom Goode, Director at Ethos Urban provide an industry perspective on how the draft Strategy (currently on Exhibition) contemplates the evolution and growth of the key precincts across Pyrmont, and what is required for industry to help implement this vision.

    Following the Planning Minister’s announcement of the Planning Delivery Unit (PDU) as a new one-stop-shop to unclog the planning system, join us to hear from Kiersten Fishburn, the new Coordinator General PDU, and Brett Newman, CEO of City of Parramatta Council. Kiersten will first provide a briefing on her role to increase productivity and reduce approval times by streamlining concurrence and referrals. Brett will then share his perspectives, as the CEO of the Council at the heart of the Central City, on how collaboration is accelerating the pipeline of projects needed to create Liveable, Affordable & Connected Cities.

    With the finalisation of the Aerotropolis SEPP imminent as part of the Planning System Acceleration Program, and the Western Parkland City Authority (WPCA) announced as the lead agency tasked with delivering the Western Parkland City, join us to hear from Andrew Jackson, Director of the Western Sydney Planning Partnership (WSPP) and Tim Poole, Chief Operating Officer of the Western Parkland City Authority (formerly WCAA). Andrew and Tim will give a briefing on their roles to deliver the Western Parkland City, as a critical key for the continuing success of Sydney as a globally competitive city. Each speaker will outline the current areas of focus for their organisation and how industry can work effectively and collaboratively with both agencies to develop a world class Western Parkland City.
