The Central Coast Chapter Committee exists to improve conditions for development in the Central Coast region.

The UDIA NSW Central Coast Chapter meets monthly on the third Tuesday of the month from 8-9am at the Wamberal Surf Life Saving Club. These meetings typically host a guest speaker and provide a forum to discuss current issues for action. All members are encouraged to participate, and others considering membership are welcomed as guests on a limited basis.

The Central Coast Executive leaders for 2019 are:

Caine King (Chair), CKDS Architecture

Chris Smith (Vice Chair), ADW Johnson

Anna Cruckshank (Secretary), Aubrey Brown Lawyers

In 2020 the Central Coast will formally convene an expanded Executive Committee to carry forward those actions agreed in the Chapter meetings.

Key Policy Issues

In 2019, the Committee is focused on regional planning issues. Influenced by the NSW Government’s revitalisation efforts for Gosford and Central Coast Council’s work plan, the following issues rise to the top:

  1. Central Coast Council consolidated LEP

  2. Seniors Living

  3. Strategic bio-certification and implementation of BCA

  4. Local government development contributions

  5. Council housing strategy and advocacy for DPE UDP

  6. Affordable housing

  7. Agency issues, including RMS, Hunter Water and Ausgrid

Events in the Region

UDIA holds two paid events in the Central Coast each year with high profile speakers from the industry discussing issues important to the region.
